Vacation Style: Tropical Paradise

True story – earlier this year I was in the midst of planning a fabulous tropical vacation for me and my hubby.  Tulum has been on my bucket list for a while, from its beautiful secluded beaches to its ancient Mayan ruins.  It’s the perfect combination of coastal with culture.  Then I found out I was pregnant.  At first I didn’t even make the connection and carried on planning the trip.  Then one morning I noticed an article about Zika and realized that Mexico is pretty much off limits.  It’s on the CDC’s list for a high rate of active transmission – obviously not with the risk!  (Though I must say I was disappointed.)  As it turns out, now that we have a baby on the way, we’ve made use of the cash we saved by not going.  Being responsible isn’t always fun but sometimes it’s necessary.  And there’s no doubt I’ll make it to Tulum one day soon.  Meanwhile I can live vicariously through these festive style picks!  I love the color palette in this collection.  Having grown up in Florida, I’ve always been attracted to bright colors and prints (it’s a thing down there).  The shades of blue, orange, yellow, and pink scream beachy and fun.  What’s your favorite must-have item?  Let us know in the comments!
