Three Ways to Wear: SJP’s Ina Pump in Green

IMG_3416My first purchase for the upcoming Spring season were these gorgeous (and very comfy) shoes from Sarah Jessica Parker’s new collection for Nordstrom.  There was much buzz going on with this line so I had to go and check it out for myself. Normally I do not wear stilettos.  I gravitate towards platforms and stacked heels because of comfort. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these babies on.  There was no pinching anywhere and there was extra padding underneath the ball of the foot.  SOLD! I decided to change it up again as far as the color. This green color was a departure for me but one that I think will give my wardrobe some extra excitement.

Here are three looks with the Ina pump from the SJP Collection. The shoes have a 3 1/4 inch heel and have the signature ribbon trim at the back of the heel.  Adds a little hint of sexiness for sure.

Daytime/Nightime Casual Look – I am wearing a Dries Van Noten floral blouse with Paige denim ankle skinnies.  I love how the shoes pull the green right out of the blouse.  For night, I would throw a leather jacket on for a little bit of edge.

Business Casual Look – I am wearing a large printed plaid blouse from Joie with cropped trousers from the Loft.  The contrast of the green shoes with the red/navy plaid gives the look something unexpected since the blouse and trousers are more classic in style and shape.  It stays conservative for work but more modern with the mix of colors.

Daytime dress – When buying dresses, most people tend to move towards neutral colors. (Black, white, navy, etc.) A fun pair of shoes like this really takes an outfit from boring territory to extraordinary.  I also added a colorful necklace to enhance what the shoes started.  This dress is by Phillip Lim and I’ve had it for years.  I love that is has pockets!

So what’s your bold accessory for this season? Let me know in the comments!

As a side note, Sarah Jessica Parker had an appearance at Nordstrom’s Michigan Avenue store in downtown Chicago.  Since I bought the shoes, I wanted them to get signed by “Miss Carrie Bradshaw” herself.  It was enjoyable experience.  My good friend Amelia (bless her heart) hung out with me in line for over 2 hours.  SJP was so friendly and warm and she took the time to talk to both of us. Yes I was starstruck.  She also signed one of the SJP cards for me as well.  It’s kinda cool that all I have to do is lift my right foot to remember that moment. The shoes will always be a conversation piece.  As a bonus, Nordstrom has an Instagram feed for the SJP collection and I (my backside) was featured with Ms. Parker. I’ve now have had my 15 minutes of fame and with one of my favorite fashionistas nonetheless!
