Three Spring (Transitional) Outfit Ideas
It’s already May, and I’m sure across most of the country Spring is in full effect. Here in LA, Spring tends to be our most beautiful season – warm but not hot, with a wonderful breeze, and flowers blooming everywhere. We’re definitely experiencing some of those days, but the weather has been a bit weird this year (El Nino maybe?). We’ve also had many overcast, rainy, borderline chilly days. In fact, this week it’s 60’s with a strong chance of rain. That being said, I’ve been wearing many of my winter pieces much longer into the spring. And I’m guessing LA isn’t the only place where the weather is still a bit cool. So here are three fun outfit ideas that feel like Spring but incorporate warm, winter pieces.
1. A Faux Fur Vest: I’ve been wearing mine a lot this spring!! (I have three, all in different colors, lol.) I love this one by Rachel Zoe because the varied shades make it super versatile, and the price is incredible. Pair with your favorite LBD and some edgy sandals for a look that works day or night.
2. Winter Booties: Okay, sooooo, I own these exact boots (by Dolce Vita) and can I just say I love them like crazy. The fringe is on trend and a little bit boho, but the pointy toe makes them chic and modern. Not to mention they’re comfortable and good quality. PLUS they’re on sale for $109 – so check them out!! Here I paired them with a gingham button-up , denim shorts, and the perfect accessories for a cute and casual Spring outfit.
3. Cozy Sweater: I love this ladylike twist on a cozy winter sweater! Pair with a beautiful floral midi skirt and super chic metallic flats. If the sweater is a bit longish, tuck it in, or even try a half tuck for a look that’s more “pulled together”.
