“Urban Darling® is completely unconventional. It is not your typical styling company by any means. Our goal is to assist in changing lives, creating new experiences through personal style. We help build a new foundation through wardrobe. Women (and men) feel better about themselves when they look good. Our wardrobe is a direct reflection of how we feel and our clients learn that. It begins with a desire for change, a longing for something new. We’ll take it from there.”

What influences your style? Influence came late in life and not without mistakes. I went to Catholic School in San Francisco and we had to wear uniforms. I was stuck wearing plaid skirts - all those pleats! High-school & college were freeing experiences. But the biggest influences came with experimenting. Getting out of the matchy-matchy outfits takes practice – and patience, oh and mistakes. I have since grown in style. I love clothing and can find outfits for anyone in their closets, try me.

Fashion inspirations: I am inspired by Katharine Hepburn. She was bold with her style in a time when women weren't supposed to be. I love Grace Kelly’s wardrobe in Rear Window, it made a lasting impression on me. For some current ladies I like Betsey Johnson, Tahari, Kate Spade, and Gwen Stefani. And the Sex in the City characters – WOW talk about style.

Meet Senior Wardrobe Stylist: Stefanie T. Gutierrez

Mini-Bio: After several years of Visual/ Fashion Merchandising for major apparel retailers, Stefanie decided to follow her heart and pursue her passion for styling.  "Helping others discover, and uncover, their style and fashion potential is what gets me up in the morning!” Stefanie was a true 80’s girl, with big hair and pegged pants, she managed to make lemonade out of the 1980’s lemons. Her taste in fashion has changed, including her hairstyle and jeans. Stefanie’s style knowledge teaches you to stay current without looking trendy.

First Concert: My father took my sister and me to see Frank Sinatra at the old Circle Star Theatre when I was 10 years old. At the time I had no idea what a legend I was seeing!

Celebrity Childhood Crush: Johnny Depp of 21 Jump Street
Favorite Food: I Love Arroz con Pollo (Chicken and Rice), Peruvian Dish

What influences your style: Once I was free from my Catholic school uniform in grade school, there was no stopping me when I hit high school. I thought I was super cool back then with my pegged pants and BIG, long curly hair. My taste in fashion has since changed, including my taste in hair styles. The texture of fabrics, bold colors and beautiful prints is what inspires me the most about Fashion.

Fashion Inspirations: Audrey Hepburn, Jackie O and Princess Di, women with oodles of grace and elegance.

Meet Eco-Chic Wardrobe Stylist: Susan Shoffstall

Mini-Bio: With a knack for finding eco-friendly and budget friendly fashions, Susan knows how to make eco-chic.  Always on top of the trends, she’ll help you create a sophisticated and classic, yet individual look that reflects your personality and makes you feel great.  Her specialty is in shopping at outlets, off-price and second hand stores – to save money, and save clothes before they end up in landfills.  As the owner and designer of Gussy Green, her own eco-friendly jewelry line, she’ll also show you the perfect ways to accessorize. Her passion for sustainable fashion will rub off on you and not only make you look great, but feel even better with a planet and money – saving wardrobe!

What Influences your style?  My style has always been a bit bohemian chic with an added twist of the trends.  I’ve learned to have great, foundational pieces that are sophisticated enough to stand on their own (nice dinner out) and that can take as much accessorizing and amping up as I can give them (night on the town with girlfriends).  It’s amazing the changes a scarf, pair of earrings or great pair of shoes can make to a wardrobe.  I love knowing that countless outfits will be born from that vintage black dress and great pair of blue jeans and white t-shirt with just a few fun accessory choices.
