Upon meeting Carly you quickly come to the conclusion that she focuses not on the latest guides in trends or fads to style her clients; instead, she uses her genuine ability to relate to her clients as well as her intuition to inspire those who may have lost hope when searching for their personal style.
Carly’s expertise includes managing several specialty boutiques as well as distinguished luxury department stores and luxury lifestyle boutiques such as Lilly Pulitzer and Michael Kors. She also is an independent stylist with men’s clothier, J.Hilburn.
What differentiates Carly from other stylists is that she truly believes beauty is seen in the unseen. She believes fashion can be studied, learned and mimicked all around the world − but personal style is uniquely expressed. “I try to take women and men and make them feel good knowing they do not need a lot of money to look like a million dollars…Less is always more, and staying true to yourself is what matters most.”
With the constant bombardment of hot-off-the-runway trends, it is easy to lose focus on who you are in an attempt to mimic the magazines. Carly loves helping her clients find their personal styles, mixing old flair with new in-vogue styles while simultaneously helping them carefully select their investment pieces that will survive every fad.
At the end of the day, Carly believes her job is complete only when her clients allow their outfits and attitudes to express their own unique story. Carly coaches her clients that projecting inner strength comes from the confidence and commanding presence they already own. Feeling good and looking good comes not from layers of designer clothes, but instead from inside.
