Cape and LBD

It was time for another collab with my fave designer consignment boutique in Cow Hollow, Closet 1951. One of the reasons I love shopping vintage boutiques, thrift stores, fleas, and consignment shops is the thrill of the discovery. I prefer simple cuts and this Gucci shirt dress with gold buttons is the epitome of easy dressing. It’s a cinch to throw on something that’s classic and chic. Not much else is required to complete the look except an abbreviated gray cape. (What could be more versatile? It would look equally elegant over a sweater and a pair of jeans! Not to mention lend one an air of mystery.) When choosing a cape, opt for one in a drapey fabric and keep an eye on the volume, the more wearable a cape is the more you’ll reach for it as an alternative to a coat.  A pair of killer two-toned peep-toes and a sleek ’60s whimsical leopard bracelet complete this polished and effortless fall look.

I’m ready for fall! How about you? What are you go-to wardrobe pieces?
