DENIM- THE ULTIMATE WEAR FOR (MUSIC) FESTIVALS
Festivals are happening all over the country Ya’ll!!
Whether you are packing your festival wear for Coachella or another festival in your area, your either there for the fashion, music, or BOTH. What you can expect to see worn thee most at any festival is DENIM!! Denim top, Denim bottom, or Denim Jacket…mixed with other fashion festival necessities such as lace, fringe, maxi dress/skirt, fedora, headbands, ankle booties, rompers and crop top…the list goes on and on! If you want to get fashion festival ready, check out my outfit which is easy to put together. You don’t have to combine too many pieces to stand out. Start with the basics!
Start with either a denim button up, or distressed denim high waisted shorts. You can either combine these two together (as I did), or create two separate outfits.
Style Tip! If you decide to wear denim bottoms, pair it with a light colored tank top, such as white or color of your choice, and tuck it in to create a waist. Throw on a pattern or print kimono to stay cool. You can also replace the tank with a crop top if you feel comfortable!
Should you decide to wear a blue jean jacket, the easiest color palate that work well with the denim jacket are a white top, and black shorts.
Style Tip! You can always break up the denim-on-denim outfit by wearing a light colored, loose polyester blouse under the blue jean button up, or jacket. Keep the blouse un-tucked so that it flows while you dance the night away!
Try to include at least 2 tribal or ethnic pieces. Remember, I am keeping this outfit simple as festivals are outside..I want to be comfortable and not worry or deal with the fuss of too much accessories. Also, stay clear from over-sized bags! This one in particular can wrap around as a cross-body so it works well for travel or events.
Style Tip! If you are wearing a bold statement necklace (as I am), keep the rest of the jewelry simple so the necklace can be the main piece of jewelry that is center of attention. Over accessorizing can be a distraction and completely take away from the outfit.
Finish your look with some low-cut ankle booties. You want to wear shoes that will STICK to your feet considering festivals can take place on grass, dirt, or pavement. Stiletto heels and thong sandals are big NO!
Style Tip! You can also replace these booties with open toe booties OR open toe flat sandals.

I hope this has inspired an outfit for your next festival!!!
