Ashely: Agreed! Tina Turner is probably one of the most deserving of the mini.
Megan: You are absolutely right; I do think it could be seen as a double standard. But expanding on my point that its because they are not mothers, I also do think their celebrity adds to the reason as to why it is seen as acceptable. I can’t honestly put my finger on why a mother with a figure shouldn’t be aloud to wear mini dresses because there can be exceptions. However if a mother is not in the industry and she is seen wearing mini dresses people talk and it can make husbands and children feel uncomfortable. That’s just our society it’s filled with double standards and boxes were supposed to stay in. I don’t necessarily think it’s right but that’s how it is.

My 15 year-old daughter and I disagree with your perspective on appropriate attire for single women vs. mothers. Your point appears to be that it’s acceptable for Samantha/Kim Cattrall and Jennifer Aniston to wear clothes made for 20-somethings not because they’re celebrities, but because they aren’t moms. Why is it not OK for mothers to show their legs in tight mini dresses if they have the figure to do so? Why the double standard?

It was great to finally find someone to audit my closet in the Milwaukee area. Ashley was great . She not only audited my closet but showed me how some pieces I had could work well together. She gave me ideas that worked well for my looks and age. Hope, I could use her services more often.
