CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Christmas in July
The title of this blog posting probably made some people smile and others cringe with the thought of the holiday talk already starting. I certainly have been working on my wish list for Santa… including; a really big closet in my new house, the Panthers to win the Super Bowl, a new laptop computer, and of course boots!
In doing some mass cleaning in my own closet recently, I packed up several boxes of clothes, shoes, and accessories to drop off at the consignment store for other buyers to enjoy. As soon as I entered the store I saw these red fringe mid-calf suede boots. I almost knocked a woman over walking briskly to grab them off the table. As I picked them up I saw that they were the perfect size 8.5 for me! I am still loving my summer sandals and heels in the Phoenix heat right now but red fringe suede boots in my size for $9.00 that look like they have never been worn at all screamed Christmas in July! I will have to post outfit photos as soon as I find the perfect new outfit to go with these boots!
Some style tips on wearing fringe boots:
- Pair your fringe boots with a skirt, dress, skinny pants, or leggings. You want to show off the detail in the boot and not have it be covered by a pant or long skirt
- Choose a basic color fringe boot, such as; tan, black, or white to get extra miles out of coupling your boots with various outfits in your closet. But if you have the funds to go for two pair, I recommend RED of course, however I am also a big fan of the cobalt blue!
- Do not overdose on fringe. I know it is fun and can be easy to do but too much fringe can be a bad thing. I would skip the fringe sweater or fringe skirt coupled with your fringe boots. If you do want an element of symmetry, I would say that you could be safe with a fringe purse, such as a fabulous fringe crossbody boho handbag
Here are some suggestions and links to add some red fringe boots to your own Christmas in July wish list!
