Hello, I have been wanting to write for so long. About a year ago I felt prompted to start my own business in the style arena-so I googled “stylist for fashion” and your name came up-so I have been following your progress during this year-I loved the new look for the website-I am still in the process of launching with cards and a site-I have “practiced” friends and two clients-I am naming my business “Style Monkeys” But I have long thought of just asking for a franchise connection…and then I saw this and well, wanted to ask. I am in Minnesota but a native Cali girl from the bay also. I would love to represent Urban Darlings. Also congrats Corrine for having the insight, knowledge and belief that we women want and need to look beautiful no matter our size. Your success is a motivator for me. Michelle

Hello there, Darlings! I am so incredibly thrilled about joining the Urban Darling team (I will be covering the Milwaukee/Chicago area), and can’t wait for my training to start! I have been a member of the Urban Darling team for over a year now. Not only do I work with if I may say, darling clients, but I work closely with UD founder Corinne Phipps to help build this fantastic brand and share it’s idea of bringing real, relevent and fun style to everyday women. I believe my job is not about shopping, but about helping busy women appreciate, care for, express and enjoy themselves!

After over 25 years in the apparel business as a Designer/Merchandiser, and being downsized, I’m ready to take my skills towards another direction in fashion. I always loved dressing women and making them feel good about themselves.

I have a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and my experience has been in working in the creative field for thirteen years, employing skills of design layout, color and style. People often stop me to comment on my appearance and wardrobe selection. I believe my overall design aesthetic along with my natural ability to connect and establish rapport with people would make me an ideal Urban Darling candidate. I’m looking for that perfect option and I believe this is it!

Being amongst the multitude of displaced workers, I am currently reinventing myself. Having worked in the fashion industry for over 20 years, most currently as a fabric merchandiser, I have an eye for fashion and composition.
I have always thought I would have been perfect at styling, and helping women put together “looks for less”, since I love to find a bargain and put looks together with out spending a fortune. I have also been looking into the whole “vintage” aspect of fashion, as a way to put together a unique and affordable look.
This idea is very interesting to me, please advise if the NJ/NY is one of your Licensing Opportunity areas
